There are now three collectable Star Coins to get in each level, and the flagpole from SMB1 is now at the end of each level. The level design is pretty solid overall. There's also worlds based off other games, such as Super Mario Land, World, Sunshine, and Galaxy. 2, with things like Shy Guys that behave like in the original SMB2, which is really cool. The second world is based off of Super Mario Bros. The first world is based off of the original Super Mario Bros., and is overall fairly decent. 3mix adds so much to SMB3 it's almost unrecognizable.ģmix starts pretty simply, with the most interesting thing at the start being the three playable characters, Mario, Luigi, and Toad.
However, I was definitely wrong, as Super Mario Bros. Personally, I never really thought an NES game could get more complex then SMB3. Many people still consider it their favorite Mario game to this day, which makes sense, as SMB3 has aged rather well. 3 is often considered to be one of the best and most complex NES games ever made.
